A 100,000-square-foot renovation for United Rentals Corporate Office included a full interior demolition and complete office upfit. The redesigned space features private offices, open workstations, conference rooms, collaborative ideation areas, break rooms, print/copy rooms, and expanded men’s and women’s restrooms on each floor. A new training center was also added, equipped with motorized operable partitions to create four flexible conference rooms. Additionally, a generator and transfer switch were installed to provide emergency power to the entire facility. A parking lot expansion with an upgraded storm drainage and new paving, creating 274 new parking spaces.

Rampart Building Adaptive Re-use

The project involved renovating an existing masonry building to create a shell space for future offices. Work included adding new perimeter storefront openings, a redesigned entry, upgraded stairs, an ADA-compliant ramp, and an updated electrical system to meet code requirements. Additional improvements featured new lighting, signage, and the relocation of sanitary and water lines for future restrooms. The existing steel truss roof with wooden joists and decking were upgraded with a new membrane and insulation. The space remains conditioned, with no changes to the energy code.

The Freedom House Southend Campus involved the full renovation of a 12,500-square-foot industrial mill built in 1945. Situated between South Boulevard and South Tryon Street, the campus includes a 400-seat auditorium, youth classrooms, a mezzanine, a café/coffee bar, and a bookstore. The project also featured a complete upgrade of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The Sentara data center renovation consisted of the demolition and construction in a former hospital converted to a robust outpatient campus and IT office space. The work was conducted adjacent to a free-standing 24-hour emergency department. The project included complete interior demolition to remove 100% of abandoned electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, and build-back of approximately 24,000 square feet, including 8,776 square feet of Data Center space. The Data Center consists of two, 2MW generators with supporting diesel fuel tanks, three air-cooled chillers feeding 10 CRAC units, and approximately 14,000 square feet of raised access flooring.

This Design/Build phased project between two existing buildings. The first phase consisted of a Historical Restoration and Renovation of a 1929, two-story 7,000-square-foot building that previously housed Native Kitchen and Social Pub and the second phase consisted of a renovation/addition to an existing 5,000-square-foot office building with 1,000-square-foot addition. Scope of the project included a new roof, windows, envelope point up, structural repairs, wood deck and an office renovation.

WNC Bridge Foundation

This beautiful facility includes a combination of steel and exposed timber/glu-lam’s for structure, as well as stone, vertical siding and glazing for the veneer and an extensive outdoor garden area, all to create a warm and inviting space.

The construction of City Chevrolet consisted of Showroom, office area, and Service & Parts Facilities. Work was completed while the dealership remained open for business, requiring daily coordination with store personnel to maintain customer flow and satisfaction, without disrupting service and operations. Temporary barricades were constructed around the project for safety while all of the renovation work was completed.

This Class-A office space for Sonic Automotive’s Headquarters perfectly fits their modern brand and accommodates for their future expansion. 3TEN Construction, previously Southeast Interior Systems was a key partner in the construction of the high-efficiency glass curtain wall framing and interior high-end finishes and ceilings. Some key features of the facility are interactive technologies, including information kiosks, lighting and A/V systems, building management system for control and monitoring, as well as fitness and spa facilities for employees.

Lowe’s Call Center

The new Lowe’s call center consisted of renovations and additions of a two-story, 140,000 sf existing building, with associated site work including mill and overlay of an existing parking lot and an additional three-acre parking lot. The new call/contact center houses 1,650 employees. Renovations included complete infrastructure replacements of architectural, electrical, HVAC, sprinkler, plumbing and roofing systems. 30,000 sf of the existing warehouse space was renovated to include a mezzanine to incorporate a second floor in this area. Along with the open cubicle space, there are multiple offices, training, interview, and break rooms, as well as a full service kitchen and serving area. Also included is a 3,400 sf Take Care Health Center for employees. 3TEN Construction, previously Southeast Interior Systems was responsible for amenities such as multi-level axiom ceilings with a river theme on the 1st floor and a major intersection street theme on the second floor per the city location of the building, full height glass walls and doors, graphic image wall covering, multi pallet carpet tiles, Italian tiles in restrooms and break rooms, premium color core on all millwork, premium lighting, with additional high-end finishes.
